for harp and two – channel fixed media. Duration: approx. 4’40”

Program Notes:

One of my first real endeavors into serious electroacoustic music, this chamber piece uses the harp as a percussion instrument rather than a lyrical stringed instrument.  In keeping with the theme of Chicago College Performing Arts’s 2015 Electroacoustic Music Festival, “Looking back and moving forward,” I decided to depict this thunderstorm backwards, ending with the calm before the storm.

Heidi Joosten, harp. April 4, 2015.
